We’re women, just like you
Our Friendship Story
Both creatives at heart and hand, our paths crossed at church for several years without any real traction. Taking a chance on one another in pursuit of creating a tangible dream, we became co-workers.
When that dream took a different direction, we realized that we had so much more in common.
Now almost 5 years and hundreds of texts later, our husbands are buddies, we talk of a commune/farm on shared property, and we may even be setting up an arranged marriage for two of our kids.
We are cultivating an online community where women can
embrace living presently,
find joy in the messy moments, and open their doors to do life together,
savoring each season of womanhood.
Just Four Fun is an online community designed to encourage and uplift women in their day-to-day life. Through genuine and vulnerable words, we aim to create an environment that reminds women they are not alone, that life is beautiful despite the challenges, and that their identity is not found in motherhood, a certain number on the scale, or checking off all the boxes on their to-do list, but who they are is found only in Jesus Christ.
The Heart of Just Four Fun
It all begins with an idea. A quick text to share an even quicker thought before someone wakes up from their nap and all other thoughts flee from our minds. It has been a long-time dream for both of us to express our hearts through creative and written ways.
Our stories aren’t just our own. We desire to create an open space for your stories too!

Hi there, I am Alison, an elder millennial who is unwilling to give up skinny jeans and does not understand my children’s brain rot lingo. My husband Matt and I were married in 2013 and together have four beautiful (and loud) children. Emma is our oldest and she’s 12. Fifteen months after having Emma we welcomed our one and only son Levi into our family. After suffering a miscarriage at 11 weeks with our third pregnancy, and being so tired of being pregnant and nursing, I vowed we wouldn’t have any more children. God had other plans though when He gave us our 7-year-old daughter Kate. And, as an extra special surprise during the Covid pandemic, we were blessed with our youngest, Lola!
I have been a stay-at-home mom for the last seven years and homeschooling our children for the last year. When I’m not meal planning, shopping for the ingredients for said meals, cooking said meals (Do you get the picture? So much of my life revolves around feeding my small army.) or wrangling four children to stay focused on their day’s assignments, I enjoy gardening (flowers, not vegetables), doing anything crafty, and devouring fiction novels.
Community is a passion of mine. I find so much value in creating, discipling, and honoring one’s community. We have seen community be a vital part of our family’s livelihood, and it is my heart to extend that same blessing to those close to us as well. For me, community and hospitality go hand in hand, and I believe so much life happens around a dining room table (or a table of any kind) and a hot cup of coffee. This little piece of the internet world is an extension of my dining room table. Get comfy – let’s talk about life. Would you like cream in your coffee?

Hello! I am so glad you’re here!
My name is Chelsey. I have been working from home since 2020 and started our homeschool journey in 2023. My husband, Evan, and I have been married for 12 years and share four beautiful (and also loud) children: Lydia is 10, Noah is 8, Ada is 5 1/2 , and our wild-man-child, Jeremiah is 3 ½. We joke that up until the last 3 years, I spent more time in our marriage pregnant and nursing than not. (It’s true. I did the math.)
I spend most of my days at my computer working from home as a marketing coordinator, or wrangling the kids into bookwork, getting snacks, going outside, prepping meals, shuffling kids to activities, sneaking in some gym-time for myself, and starting the whole process over again each day. I have gotten to the point that I don’t just want to accept the mundane and steal glimpses of the margins before I crumble into an exhausted mess. There is joy to be found in our ordinary days, in the messes, and the often overlooked moments of our lives. I want to be keenly aware so I won’t miss them.
As a self-proclaimed Xennial, I crave intentional and interpersonal relationships. While I am a bit young for the generational cut-off, my conservative childhood was spent without technology, playing outside while using my imagination. Even with all the positive uses of the internet and social media, nothing can replace the feel of a warm cup of coffee in my hand with a friend sitting across from me.
I absolutely love hearing from other women; our stories, victories, and struggles can be powerful when shared openly and honestly. This little corner of the internet has a welcome mat just for you - kick off your shoes, push the laundry over, and let’s get comfortable.
